Born in 1992 in Solingen, Alessandro grew up surrounded by the house music of the late '90s and early 2000s. From early on, sound fascinated him — he would take photos of speakers, draw them on cardboard boxes, and place cheap computer speakers inside moving boxes to pretend he had a massive sound system.
At eight years old, his curiosity led him to dismantle a CD player, only to discover — to his disappointment — that moving a CD wouldn't create the scratch sounds he loved from vinyl records.
A year or two later, while accompanying his father to the gym, he heard house music playing in the background. Gathering all his courage, he asked the trainer for the track names — and was lent the CD Kontor Top of the Clubs Vol. 9. That album, especially the second disc with its underground tracks, became his personal sanctuary. From that moment on, his love for house music only grew stronger.
A few years later, Alessandro discovered Giorgio Moroder while playing GTA: Liberty City Stories on his PSP. That track struck a deep chord — its haunting yet hypnotic atmosphere felt almost intimidating, but it opened the door to the world of DJing and the broader house music scene.
His musical influences span the spectrum of electronic and dance music: from the pioneering sounds of Daft Punk and the French Touch movement, to the underground vibes of Mojo and Defected, the energetic beats of Subliminal, the nostalgic melodies of Eurodisco, the iconic sounds of Eiffel 65, and the infectious rhythms of Gigi D'Agostino.
Today, Alessandro is known in the scene as the guy with the basslines. Beyond house, he works as a versatile producer across genres such as metal and hip-hop. He produced Butterfly 2021 featuring Crazy Town's Shifty Shellshock and rapper Ekoh, has played bass on dozens of tracks, and contributed his unmistakable sound to numerous projects.
As a multi-instrumentalist, Alessandro has played guitar, drums, and bass in various bands throughout his career, bringing his diverse musical background to every project he touches.
Alessandro also performs under the monikers Alessandro Calabrese and pHaZe Project.
